Kodiak Bear is our alpha and the first of my dog family. He is tall, and long, and thin under all that hair, and that hair is fine and silky with an even finer and denser undercoat. A skinny fluff ball. He looks pretty much like a mop or a floor mat from all angles and is hard to photograph because of it. I got him here in the late evening light, and that helped. It would also help if I would trim his bangs!

Kodi is the most loving creature and really saved my soul - he came to me 3 months after my husband died and truly held me together. My Bear is 9 now, and I know he can't last forever, but I hope for many more good years to come.

No idea why these didn't load with the rest of Brandy's pictures. See previous post for Brandy information.

Brandy is my little wild girl. At only 55 lb she is the smallest by far, but perhaps the toughest! At the shelter she was listed as an Irish Wolfhound cross, but I'm sure that is not correct. By her appearance, a terrier cross; by her nature, I think the other side is coyote or Siberian, or some of each. Now 10, teeth wearing down, showing a bit of age but really going very strong. She and Pepper (my Siberian) can't quite sort out which one is dominant over the other, so there have been several fights (stitches and all). Pepper is only around 2 yrs old and outweighs Brandy by 20 lbs, and is an accomplished fighter, yet she and Brandy Bean are pretty much an even match. Posted by Picasa

Louie is an Irish Wolfhound cross - what the other half is is unknown, and not obvious to me. He is a very loving and cuddly boy, and prone to panic when there is too much confusion. Frequent. Around the size of a Golden Retriever but much more heavily built in frame and muscle.

Willie, my dear arthritic one. His facial hair has quite a reddish tone , but he is overall such a black dog that I don't have any full shots that look like anything at all. He is around 90 lb and a bit shorter than a lab of that weight would be. Posted by Picasa

One of Andrew I had missed earlier. I need to get more full body shots to properly show his build, but you get the idea. Posted by Picasa

More baby Andrew. Up to around 137 lb, I expect he will be 150-155 when he is full grown.

Pepper, my former stray. May be pure Siberian Husky (she certainly likes to think so!).

Andrew (aka Flash) my 17 mo old Great Dane/
Bullmastiff.
Sweetest baby in the universe.
